Rising Tide Africa is a women-led angel network based in Lagos, Nigeria. It empowers female investors and entrepreneurs through mentorship, investments, and partnerships across Africa. The network educates and trains women to become sophisticated angel investors, offering opportunities to build diversified portfolios and receive mentoring from experienced peers. Rising Tide Africa focuses on early-stage investments in digitally and technology-enabled companies, particularly those that are female-owned, female-led, or with gender-diverse leadership. From January 2021 to September 2022, it participated in five seed-stage rounds totaling $11.6M across Nigeria, Cameroon, Côte d'Ivoire, and Ghana in sectors including e-commerce & retail, health tech, travel & mobility, and fintech. Companies backed include Infiuss Health, ANKA, Shuttlers, OmniBiz, and Oze. The network hosts Deal Day events for investment-ready entrepreneurs to pitch to angels and Masterclasses to train business owners on operations and capital attraction in Nigeria. It creates impact by providing capital, strategic advice, governance support, and networking opportunities.
