Nairobi Business Angels Network

Nairobi Business Angels Network (NaiBAN) is a group of over 100 business angels based in Nairobi, Kenya, that provides early-stage startups with capital, strategic advice, and valuable connections. The network comprises experienced investors, entrepreneurs, and tech professionals who prioritize being founder-first investors, drawing on their own startup experience to support the ventures they back. NaiBAN focuses exclusively on pre-seed and seed-stage investments across East Africa. Between March 2022 and May 2023, the network invested $5.4 million across six seed rounds, with a strong emphasis on Kenya-based companies. The portfolio spans fintech, edtech, health technology, productivity tools, and marketing platforms, including companies like Fingo Africa, Zydii, Scale, Flowcart, Churpy, and Infiuss Health. This investment activity reflects NaiBAN's commitment to supporting technology-driven solutions that address critical needs across the African continent.
