Fingo Africa

Fingo Africa is a CBK-regulated digital banking app for young Africans in Kenya who want to open a personal bank account from a mobile phone and manage everyday payments, saving, and spending.

Key capabilities include:

• Personal account and payments: Send and request money for free between Fingo users, request money via a link or QR code, transfer to and from local banks, and move funds between Fingo and M-Pesa. The app also supports Pay Bills/Buy Goods, airtime top-ups, and direct salary deposits.
• Savings and goals: Create savings goals with a target amount and deadline, and earn up to 15% interest annually on interest-earning savings.
• Cards for online spending: Create virtual prepaid cards (customizable, with controls to freeze, unfreeze, or delete). A physical debit card (Yellow Ubuntu) is listed as coming soon.
• Budgeting, analytics, and learning: Set budget plans, track expenses with spending insights, and build financial knowledge through trivia.
• Rewards: Earn Fingo Coins for actions such as transacting, saving, referrals, and trivia, then exchange them for rewards.
• Islamic Banking: An Islamic Banking option is available.
