Jobtech Alliance is an ecosystem-building initiative focused on creating inclusive jobtech in Africa. Launched in 2021 by implementing partners Mercy Corps and BFA Global, it functions as a venture support organization. The alliance builds a community of startups, funders, solution builders, and policymakers to develop the jobtech ecosystem across the continent. Since 2023, Jobtech Alliance has supported a portfolio of 51 jobtech platforms driving job creation in Africa. Their venture support targets high-growth sectors and underserved users to improve job quality, work conditions, and inclusion. Geographically, they emphasize markets like Kenya and Nigeria, backing companies in areas such as marketing, creator economy, and logistics through non-traditional funding rounds. The portfolio has facilitated over 29,000 quality jobs created, matched, or improved, with platforms spanning jobs boards, recruitment, influencer marketplaces, AI operations, and financial services for workers.
