HoaQ

HoaQ is a vibrant community of experienced operators, advisors, and investors that supports founders leveraging technology to build economic infrastructure for Africa and Africans. Established in 2020, it has grown to over 800 members and enables participation in angel investing with a low entry point of $1,000. The community provides strategic guidance, industry connections, and ongoing support to portfolio companies. HoaQ invests early at pre-seed and seed stages, with intentions to follow on until Series A, targeting tech and tech-enabled startups with domain expertise, technical know-how, and traction in large markets. Investments focus on Nigeria across sectors including logistics, real estate, health tech, AI, fintech, communication, e-commerce, and media. From July 2021 to August 2025, HoaQ participated in 10 funding rounds totaling $16.8M, primarily seed stage, backing companies like Chowdeck, Clafiya, Spleet, Intron, Klump, Sendchamp, Getbumpa, and Tix. HoaQ has co-invested with prominent players such as Y Combinator, Hustle Fund, and Microtraction, and raised a $5 million fund for early-stage startups.
