Bas Hochstenbach

Bas Hochstenbach is co-founder and managing partner of E4EAfrica, since 2019, an entrepreneur-centric venture capital firm that backs South African entrepreneurs. Hochstenbach co-founded the conservation tourism company Asilia Africa, serving as executive director (2004-2016) and then non-executive director until 2019, and co-founded Coot Club, a nature retreat outside Cape Town. Hochstenbach chairs the board of FARO (since 2026) and sits on the boards of E4E portfolio companies and the supervisory board of African Bush Camps. Based in Cape Town, South Africa.
