Orange Ventures is the corporate venture capital arm of the Orange Group, a global telecommunications company. Established as an independent legal entity in January 2021, Orange Ventures combines the agility and decision-making speed of a traditional venture capital firm with access to Orange Group's technological expertise, commercial networks, and customer reach. The firm manages €350 million in assets under management and maintains offices in Paris and Dakar, with a commitment to supporting entrepreneurs across multiple continents. Orange Ventures focuses on early-stage technology startups in Africa and the Middle East, alongside more mature companies in Europe and the United States. In Africa, the firm has deployed significant capital across fintech, e-commerce, cybersecurity, and developer tools sectors, with particular strength in West and East African markets including Morocco, Nigeria, Egypt, Côte d'Ivoire, Kenya, and South Africa. The firm invests up to €20 million per financing round and typically responds to funding requests within 30 days, maintaining an average investment period of five years. Orange Ventures operates dedicated investment streams for different regions and stages, including a Middle East and Africa initiative with €50 million under management focused on seed-stage and growth-stage companies. The firm works closely with portfolio companies post-investment, leveraging Orange's ecosystems and technical resources to accelerate growth and create value for both startups and the broader Orange Group.
