Falak Startups is a startup accelerator based in Egypt, designed to support and empower the next generation of Egyptian entrepreneurs. It invests in innovative Egyptian startups, providing capital, strategic guidance, operational expertise, and access to an extensive network to help them scale in the Egyptian market and beyond. Led by Managing Director Ahmed Hazem Dakroury and Head of Investment Mohamed Badawy, it operates programs like the Falak SMEs Accelerator for established SMEs. Falak Startups has been active from February 2021 to August 2022, participating in three funding rounds totaling $3.4M, primarily at the seed stage (two rounds) and other stages (one round). Its geographic focus is Egypt, with investments in fintech (Subsbase, which automates subscription billing, invoicing, and recurring payments) and edtech (Educatly, which helps find study abroad programs and recruit international students). Co-investors include P1 Ventures, Plus Venture Capital, Hala Ventures, and others.
