ePass is an automated payment and vehicle management platform for motorists and fleet operators in Zambia to pay road tolls and fuel electronically under one prepaid account.

Key capabilities include:

• Cashless eToll payments: motorists use an eToll card that attendants swipe on a POS machine at toll gates, with a printed receipt and the transaction synced to the online account.
• Cashless eFuel purchases: eFuel cards support fuel payments at partner fuel stations, with transactions reflected in the same account for easier fuel spend tracking.
• Prepaid wallet and live sync: a prepaid account supports instant transaction processing, real-time balance and transaction updates, and online account access.
• Fleet management and reporting: corporate accounts can manage multiple vehicles, view analytics, and use online reporting tools to monitor toll and fuel usage.

Available via mobile app and web access (Android and iOS availability is confirmed).

It targets individual motorists, households and small businesses (1 to 5 cards), plus corporate fleets (5+ cards) that need centralized toll and fuel controls.

Notable in Zambia’s road payments ecosystem, the service sits within the Dot Com Zambia family and expanded from electronic tolling (first eToll processed on March 1, 2017) to include fuel payments and roadside assistance from July 1, 2021. As of 31/07/2022, it reported 2,000+ individual app users, 20,000+ vehicles managed, 300+ corporate fleet accounts, and 4M+ transactions processed.
