Hans Nilsson chaired Hubtel's board from 2015 until stepping down in late 2025, and now chairs its advisory council.
HubtelHans Nilsson was executive chairman of Hubtel, the Ghanaian payments and commerce company, from August 2015 until October 2025. He was succeeded as board chair by Patience Akyianu in November 2025 and has since chaired Hubtel's advisory council.
He holds an MSEE in real-time computer control from Chalmers University of Technology and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business. Based in London, he works as an adviser and chairman to companies seeking to scale, including roles with Seven Startup Advisory, Cole Collective Hub and Newlane.
