Shola Akinlade is a Nigerian entrepreneur and angel investor based in Lagos, Nigeria. He is best known as the co-founder and CEO of Paystack, a fintech company that provides payment solutions for businesses in Africa and was acquired by Stripe in 2020. Akinlade has actively invested $11.5 million across four seed-stage rounds in Nigerian startups from February 2022 to April 2024. His portfolio includes fintech companies Casava and Earnipay, logistics firm Chowdeck, and productivity platform Norebase. He focuses exclusively on seed-stage investments in Nigeria. He has co-invested alongside notable firms and individuals such as Ventures Platform, Voltron Capital, Y Combinator, and Goodwater Capital.
