Prosus has demonstrated investment activity in Africa between January 2013 and August 2017, participating in four funding rounds totaling $85 million. It invested at Series A, Series B, and Series C stages, with a geographic focus on Nigeria (three rounds) and South Africa (one round). Sectors included e-commerce and retail (three investments) and crypto and Web3 (one investment), backing companies such as Konga and Luno. Co-investors in these rounds included Kinnevik, Balderton Capital, Digital Currency Group, AlphaCode Club, Venturra Capital, and Naspers.
