The Oman Technology Fund (OTF) is a sovereign fund backed entity based in Oman. It aims to position Oman as the preferred destination for national and international tech startups and become the region's innovation hub. OTF operates through programs including OTF Techween for pre-seed ideas, OTF Wadi Accelerator, and OTF Jasoor Ventures for growth, with a total committed capital of up to $150 million. OTF invests in early-stage technology companies, particularly pre-seed startups in digital media, web and mobile platforms, disruptive business models, and technology innovation. Its geographic focus spans Oman, the Middle East, and North Africa, explicitly including Egypt among targeted countries such as UAE, KSA, Jordan, and Tunisia. Between December 2019 and April 2022, OTF participated in four funding rounds in Egypt: two Seed and two Series A investments totaling $26.4 million across Travel & Mobility (Shift-ev), Fintech (Lucky), E-commerce & Retail (Homzmart), and Logistics & Supply Chain (Bekia). OTF has co-invested alongside prominent firms including Wamda Capital, Union Square Ventures, Algebra Ventures, and Global Ventures.
