First Circle Capital is a venture capital firm that invests in pre-seed and seed stage FinTech companies across Africa. The firm backs founding teams with a big vision, a unique proposition, and the skills to deliver. Built by founders for founders, it is led by co-founders Selma and Agnes, who bring deep expertise in African fintech, entrepreneurship, and investment. The firm has participated in four funding rounds totaling $22.6M from March 2022 to February 2026, focusing exclusively on fintech. It targets seed stage (three rounds) and other stages (one round), with investments in Morocco (two), Egypt (one), and Nigeria (one). Portfolio companies include WafR in Morocco, which turns neighborhood shops into digital service points; MNZL Wallet in Egypt, which turns homes and cars into affordable credit; and Credpal in Nigeria, which splits purchases into interest-free installments at checkout. First Circle Capital often invests early, sometimes as the first institutional investor, and catalyzes additional capital from its network. Co-investors include LoftyInc Capital, UM6P Ventures, Al Mada Ventures, Attijariwafa Ventures, and others such as 500 Global and Enza Capital.
