Cauris Management is the first subregional private equity fund manager established in Francophone West Africa. Operational since 1996, the firm invests in equity and quasi-equity in companies with strong potential for growth and profitability. It is based in Lomé and Abidjan, providing proximity to the regional private sector. Cauris Management participated in three funding rounds totaling $6.5M between January 2022 and January 2023, focusing on debt financing (two rounds) and venture (one round). Investments targeted AI & Analytics in Ghana (two rounds in Jetstreamafrica) and Fintech in Nigeria (one round in Branch), demonstrating activity in West Africa. The firm has managed several generations of funds, including the pioneering Cauris Investissement fund launched in 1996, which delivered a 2.5 times net return to investors upon full divestment.
