Camel Ventures

Camel Ventures is an Egypt-based venture capital firm specializing in venture debt and equity investments for FinTech and FinTech-enabling startups. Established by its management team and backed by dfin Holding and Al Ahly Capital Holding, it operates as Camel Ventures Management (CVM). The firm is the first Egyptian Fintech-focused venture capital company licensed by the Egyptian Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA). Camel Ventures invests primarily in early-stage startups in Egypt, with a focus on FinTech and sectors like EdTech. It has participated in seed and venture rounds, including investments in Subsbase for subscription billing and Klickit for educational payments. Its portfolio also features companies such as Khazenly in logistics and PharmacyMarts in health care. The firm launched Camel Ventures for Investment I (CVI), a $16 million fund (EGP 500M+ AUM plus syndication) to provide equity for early-stage and venture debt for later-stage FinTech startups. It has co-invested with partners like Global Ventures, Falak Startups, and Hala Ventures.
