Gigs254

GigsKenya is a web-based jobs and freelance marketplace for Kenyan job seekers, freelancers, and employers who want to find work or hire talent through direct contact.

Key capabilities include:

• Browse jobs and gigs by industry, city (including Nairobi, Mombasa, and Kisumu), and work type such as freelance, part-time, full-time, and remote/online roles
• Find and compare freelancers by viewing talent profiles with skills, location, availability, and rate information
• Post job ads and freelance briefs so businesses can attract applicants and proposals
• Contact options built for fast hiring; users can send an in-app pitch, reveal a phone number, or open WhatsApp to agree on scope, rates, and timelines directly

Available on Web.

It targets businesses and employers hiring in Kenya, plus freelancers, gig workers, and job seekers looking for opportunities across tech, design, writing, marketing, finance, customer support, education, logistics, and more.

What makes it notable in the Kenyan market is its direct-deal, no-commission approach and locally relevant workflows, including the option for parties to arrange payment directly (the site mentions M-Pesa and bank transfer). This positions it as a local alternative to global freelancing platforms for Kenyan talent and Kenya-based hiring needs.
