RentHam is a rental marketplace for Nigeria and Zambia. Tenants search homes to rent and serviced stays, book an inspection or a night, and sign a digital tenancy agreement for longer lets. Landlords and agents list properties for free.
How it works
- Search: homes to rent are shown for your own country; daily stays can be booked from anywhere
- Book: pay for a night at checkout, or book a viewing for a longer lease
- Settle in: check in for a daily stay, or sign a digital lease when you rent longer
Key features include:
- Listings: flats, self-contains, duplexes, bungalows, serviced apartments, hotel rooms, shops, offices, warehouses, event centres and land, with photos, prices and locations
- Verified live listings: live listings are reviewed before they can take payment; preview listings are marked, and inspections and payments apply to live homes only
- Inspection-gated chat: direct chat with the landlord or agent opens once an inspection is booked
- Payments: card and mobile money through payment gateways, in naira in Nigeria and kwacha in Zambia
- Digital tenancy agreements: generated and signed on the platform
- Dispute mediation: a built-in process for tenants and landlords
- Agent and landlord tools: list properties and register as an agent
Pricing: browsing and listing are free. Landlords are paid when a home is let, and RentHam's fee is shown before anyone pays. Fee rates sit behind sign-in, so they are not quoted here.
Coverage: RentHam is in a soft launch. Search covers every Nigerian state, with most live listings so far in Oyo, Lagos, Abuja and Rivers, plus Lusaka in Zambia. It adds a market only when payments, identity checks and operations are ready.
