Imaginario AIAbdelhak Loukkal is co-founder and CTO of Imaginario AI (since 2021), which is building a video intelligence layer for content discovery and storytelling, starting with marketing and post-production teams. Loukkal was a founder in residence at Entrepreneur First and at Techstars' Comcast NBCUniversal LIFT Labs, and earlier did PhD research on deep-learning perception for autonomous navigation with Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi.
Abdelhak trained as a mechanical engineer at Université de Technologie de Compiègne, with placements at PSA Peugeot Citroën in Algiers, SUEZ in Doha and Airbus Defence and Space in France. After graduating in 2016, Abdelhak chose artificial intelligence.
A research internship at SoftBank Robotics Europe had Abdelhak teaching the Pepper robot to spot traversable terrain with deep learning, work later presented at a GPU conference in Munich. A PhD with Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi and the CNRS followed, on perception and planning for autonomous vehicles.
In 2021 Abdelhak joined Entrepreneur First as a founder in residence and, with a co-founder, started Imaginario AI that July, putting the research into video-understanding AI.
Abdelhak is CTO of Imaginario AI, building a video intelligence layer for content discovery and storytelling. The company went through the Comcast NBCUniversal LIFT Labs accelerator powered by Techstars and won IABM BaM Awards for Content Management and Best of Show at IBC in 2024 and 2025.
