Fawry Tap N Pay Integrates with Odoo for SoftPOS Payments

Fawry has launched a direct integration between its Tap N Pay app and the Odoo business management system. The goal is to connect in-person sales, digital payments, and accounting in one workflow.

What Happened

On August 9, 2026, Fawry and Creative Digital Solutions (CDS Solutions), an Odoo Gold Partner, announced a direct integration between Fawry Business’ Tap N Pay and Odoo.

Tap N Pay uses SoftPOS technology, which turns an NFC-enabled phone or tablet into a payment terminal. NFC is the short-range “tap” function used for contactless card and wallet payments.

With the new setup, merchants can accept contactless payments using bank cards and electronic wallets from a smartphone or tablet. They no longer need a traditional point-of-sale terminal for supported devices.

Payments processed in Tap N Pay are automatically sent into Odoo. The transactions are then matched with sales orders, invoices, and accounting entries, so finance teams can reconcile (confirm and balance) payments faster.

Why It Matters

Many small and mid-sized businesses still run sales, payments, and bookkeeping in separate systems. That creates manual data entry, more errors, and slower month-end reporting.

This integration tries to reduce that admin work by connecting payment capture to accounting records in real time. For businesses using Odoo as an ERP, or all-in-one business software, it can tighten cash visibility and speed up financial close.

It also supports a broader shift toward tap-to-pay acceptance on everyday devices. If adoption grows, more Egyptian merchants could take card and wallet payments without investing in extra hardware, while still keeping clean financial records.
