What Happened

Fawry and DMS announced a direct integration between Fawry Business POS terminals and DMS Systems used by medical institutions and other organisations.

A POS terminal is the card payment device at the cashier. The new link connects that device to the billing and operations software staff already use. Instead of typing amounts twice, the transaction amount can be pushed from the cashier screen to the POS automatically.

After a customer pays, the DMS system updates the payment status instantly. This is a real-time update, meaning staff can see confirmation right away without waiting for end of day reconciliation.

Both companies said the integration reduces manual intervention and re-entry mistakes. It also aims to speed up payment processing and settlement, which is the step where transactions are finalised and funds are confirmed.

Why It Matters

For hospitals and clinics, payments sit inside a wider workflow that includes invoicing, patient billing, and back-office reporting. When payment and billing systems are not connected, teams often reconcile transactions manually, which adds delays and creates room for errors.
