What Happened

Fawry Business, the B2B arm of Fawry, announced a partnership with Congineer to integrate retail operations software with payment acceptance in Egypt.

The partnership combines Retail Pro and Odoo with Fawry’s payment services. Retail Pro is a retail management system used for things like inventory, pricing, and checkout, and Odoo is an ERP system (a single tool that helps run core business processes like finance and operations).

Through Congineer’s implementation, Retail Pro can connect to point of sale systems and payment rails provided by Fawry Business. Merchants can keep using their current operating system for sales, while processing card or digital payments via Fawry.

The companies said payments can be taken using either Congineer’s POS terminals or Fawry’s own POS devices. This is meant to reduce manual steps and automate parts of the checkout and reconciliation flow, which can cut human error and speed up day to day work.

The integrated setup also includes payroll options. Fawry Business said companies can schedule and transfer employee payments to bank accounts, electronic wallets, My Fawry Yellow Card, or cash vouchers.

Why It Matters

For Egyptian retailers, payment acceptance is often separate from the system used to run stores. That split creates extra work, especially when matching sales, refunds, and end of day reports.

By integrating retail software and payment processing, Fawry Business and Congineer are pitching a more seamless workflow for merchants. If adoption grows, it could strengthen Fawry’s position in business payments, POS distribution, and merchant services across Egypt’s retail sector.
