VC4A is a platform that strengthens the global startup community by connecting innovative entrepreneurs with knowledge, networks, and funding opportunities. Founded in 2007 with the mission to build Africa's startup community, it has expanded to support high-growth, high-impact companies worldwide, including in emerging markets like Latin America. VC4A offers programs, events, and a directory for entrepreneurs, mentors, and investors. In October 2019, VC4A participated in three funding rounds across Africa: two Series A investments in Yassir (Algeria, Travel & Mobility) and Credpal (Nigeria, Fintech), and one Seed investment in Flexclub (South Africa, Travel & Mobility). This activity highlights a focus on early-stage investments in Travel & Mobility and Fintech sectors within North, West, and Southern Africa.
