How Liners ranks products
How ranking changes across search, the product directory, category lists, and other product pages.
Liners uses different order rules by page
Search, the product directory, category and feature pages, country pages, alternatives, and comparisons serve different tasks. They do not share one ranking formula.
Liners explains the factor groups but keeps exact order, weights, thresholds, and randomisation rules private.
Search
Organic search results use relevance to the query. Paid listing status does not change that relevance.
Read how Liners search works for name matching, meaning-based search, filters, and sponsored cards.
Product directory
The main product directory orders products by website authority by default. Users can choose another available sort, such as rating, review count, name, or publication date. Paid listing status does not change the order.
Category, feature, and best-product pages
Top-ranked taxonomy pages may consider signals such as product authority, verified status, approved review rating, review count, and publication date. The exact use of those signals can vary by page.
Users may choose another sort, such as name or date, where the page offers it.
Country pages
Country pages can use a date-based order to show recent products. Filters and selected sorts can change the visible order.
Alternatives and comparisons
Alternatives use product similarity. Paid listing status and verified status do not change the similarity score.
Comparisons use the criteria shown on the page. Payment does not change a product's criterion score.
Read how Liners chooses alternatives and how product comparisons work for those methods.
Ads
Ads use separate labelled placements. Buying an ad does not change user ratings, reviews, comparison scores, or organic search relevance.

Corrections
Wrong categories, features, countries, or product facts can affect where a product appears. Use the supported community correction process to report an error.
