How product claiming works

Who can claim a product

You may claim a product when:

• The product is active and public on Liners.
• No current owner already controls it.
• You have authority to represent the product.

Liners may check that relationship through a matching work email or another approved product contact route.

Claim review

Liners checks the claim before granting access. We do not publish every evidence check or fallback because that could help someone claim a product they do not represent.

If Liners cannot confirm the relationship, the claim does not grant business access.

What an approved claim does

An approved claim:

• Adds the claimant as a product business member.
• Gives access to the product's business dashboard.
• Lets the owner propose listing changes and reply to reviews.
• Marks the product as verified.

Listing changes remain proposals until Liners reviews them.

Claims and product submissions

Anyone with an account can submit a missing product. A product submission does not prove ownership.

A work-domain match may associate a submitter with the product without granting verified status. The full claim process remains the route to verified owner access.

Verified status

Verified status means Liners checked the product listing or relationship to a reasonable extent. It is not an endorsement or product test.

Claim problems

Liners may remove access if a claim was false, the person's authority ended, or the claim no longer appears valid.

Contact hello@liners.com if a product has the wrong owner or if a former staff member still appears to have access. Do not send passwords or private customer data.
