SilabuAdam Duma is co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Silabu, a social learning app, overseeing day-to-day operations since 2022. Duma co-founded the company in 2019, leading marketing strategy and later customer care. Duma completed the YALI Regional Leadership Center East Africa program in 2024 and did an apprenticeship at the University of Dar es Salaam's Directorate of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (2023–2024).
Adam studied actuarial sciences at the University of Dar es Salaam and, at age 21, founded Softboard, a digital timetable and school management system that was sold to the university, where students and faculty now use it widely.
In January 2019 Adam co-founded Silabu and took charge of marketing strategy, leaning on media outreach, interviews and tech events to put the brand in front of its audience.
In 2020 Adam moved into customer care to protect and grow Silabu's existing user base. In 2022 Adam took part in the Google for Startups Africa program.
Since March 2022 Adam has been Chief Operating Officer of Silabu, the social learning app, overseeing daily operations. In 2023 and 2024 Adam did an apprenticeship at the University of Dar es Salaam's Directorate of Innovation and Entrepreneurship and completed the YALI Regional Leadership Center East Africa program in Nairobi.
