Yellow Card has completed its acquisition of Brazil-based virtual asset service provider GoMoney, adding Pix-enabled BRL collections and stablecoin…
Yellow Card has completed the acquisition of GoMoney Sociedade Prestadora de Serviços de Ativos Virtuais Ltda., a Brazilian virtual asset service provider. Yellow Card says the deal establishes its direct operations in Brazil.
Yellow Card said it completed the acquisition of gomoney in October. GoMoney has filed an application with the Banco Central do Brasil for authorisation to operate as a virtual asset service provider under Law No. 14,478/2022 and BCB Resolution No. 519/2025.
GoMoney will keep operating under Brazil’s transitional regime for virtual asset service providers while it waits for review and approval from the Banco Central do Brasil.
Yellow Card said the acquisition strengthens its presence in Latin America as part of a broader strategy to expand its global financial infrastructure network. For clients, the company said the deal adds local collections and disbursements in Brazilian reais, including through Pix, and settlement in stablecoins, delivered through a locally established provider. It also said these services are integrated with Yellow Card’s treasury and liquidity services across its other markets.
Chris Maurice, co-founder and CEO of Yellow Card, said: “Building global financial infrastructure requires compliance with local frameworks, local payment rails, and local expertise and relationships to operate effectively.” He added: “GoMoney has built a strong foundation in Brazil over the last eight years, and bringing our businesses together will allow us to deliver greater value to customers while accelerating our long-term ambitions.”
GoMoney, founded in 2018, will continue to be led by its founders as a wholly owned subsidiary of Yellow Card. Maurício Pires, a founder and chief executive of GoMoney, said the company focuses on using stablecoins for cross-border payments, and that it is “excited to become part of the Yellow Card team.”
Yellow Card framed Brazil as a large market for stablecoin-powered financial services. A Chainalysis report cited in the announcement said Brazil recorded $252.5 billion in cryptocurrency activity between July 2025 and June 2026, making it Latin America’s largest cryptocurrency market.
The same report said stablecoin activity in Brazil increased 495% across its 2024 to 2026 comparison period, driven in part by business use cases such as cross-border transfers and liquidity management.
Yellow Card also linked the acquisition to its recent growth, including an August 2026 $40 million financing round that included investments from Standard Chartered Bank and Sony, and regulatory approvals and registrations in Canada, Switzerland, Nigeria, Ghana, and Zimbabwe.
