Vox says it has attained Sophos Platinum Partner status, giving it preferred partner benefits and better commercial pricing for South African businesses.
Vox says it has attained Sophos Platinum Partner Status. The company says the status gives it preferred partner benefits and better commercial pricing. Vox says this supports its cybersecurity offerings for South Africa’s enterprises and SMEs.
Vox says the Platinum status is meant to validate its cybersecurity capabilities and help it provide cost effective cybersecurity to South African enterprises and small and medium enterprises.
Audrey Vadival, Head of Security and Value Added Services at Vox, said the recognition is “not just about a badge” and that it helps Vox access preferred partner benefits and “better commercial pricing.” She added that Vox can pass savings on to business customers.
Vox said it began its partnership with Sophos over a year ago when it looked to re enter the cybersecurity market, with a focus on business customers, especially SMEs. Vox said it wanted “enterprise grade” cybersecurity that did not compromise on capability, while still being cost effective for SMEs and larger organisations.
Pieter Nel, Regional Head, SADC, Sophos, said Vox’s Platinum Partner status is an endorsement of its cybersecurity expertise and its commitment to helping South African businesses stay protected. Nel added that Sophos customers need “enterprise grade protection without adding unnecessary cost or complexity.”
Vox said Platinum status requires a reseller to meet certification and revenue requirements that are evaluated annually. Certification requirements include achieving a certain level of certification points and holding a minimum of two Architect Certifications.
Vox said certification points can be earned through Sophos trainings such as Sales Professional courses, Technician courses, Architect courses, and Managed Detection and Response guided onboarding. Managed Detection and Response, or MDR, is a managed security service where a provider monitors and investigates threats for a customer.
Vox said Sophos cybersecurity products have been added to its FTTB Bundle promotion. Vox said the overall solution becomes more cost effective as more services are layered on top of Vox’s fibre connectivity.
Vox said discounts can be secured on products including firewall hardware, the Sophos Firewall licence, Sophos MDR, Extended Detection and Response, and Cloud Backup and Storage. Extended Detection and Response, or XDR, is a security approach that connects threat data across multiple systems so teams can detect and respond faster.
Vox said customers selecting the firewall can get free managed firewall services. Vox said customers adopting MDR and XDR will get free set up and onboarding. Vox said these bundled discounts were made possible because of its Platinum Partner status.
