Thunders announced a Squash TM integration that imports test cases into Thunders AI and syncs run results back to Squash automatically or manually.
Thunders now integrates with Squash TM, a tool for storing and managing test cases.
The integration lets Thunders AI import tests from Squash, create or update tests in Squash, and send test run results back to Squash.
Thunders said the integration is meant for teams that keep their test cases in Squash TM. After a one time connection, Thunders AI can work with Squash test assets and keep results in sync.
To connect, users add Squash TM from “Connectors” using their Squash address and a personal API token, which is a private key that lets software access an account. Thunders said a Squash administrator needs to set squash.rest-api.jwt.secret once so people can create tokens.
For importing, a user can ask Thunders AI to import a test. Thunders AI can browse Squash projects, folders, and test cases, and read requirements, campaigns, iterations, and executions. Thunders turns each Squash test into a Thunders test case and adds a link back to Squash.
Thunders AI can also create a test in Squash, or update an existing one when asked. Thunders noted that an update replaces the steps of the Squash test, and it only does this on request.
For results, Thunders can send the result of a run to Squash manually using “Sync to Squash” on the run report, or automatically when the run ends. Thunders said it records the status in the Squash iteration, adds a comment with the status of each step, and links to the Thunders run.
Testing teams often split work across tools, one for writing test cases and another for running tests and collecting outcomes.
By connecting Thunders AI to Squash TM, teams can pull existing test cases into Thunders and push run results back to where test documentation lives, without copying updates by hand.
