Uber and Key Food Stores Co-Operative are bringing grocery delivery from more than 300 Key Food member stores to Uber Eats.
Uber Technologies, Inc. and Key Food Stores Co-Operative, Inc. have announced a partnership to add grocery delivery from more than 300 Key Food member stores to Uber Eats.
The stores are across the Northeast and Florida.
Customers can shop participating stores in Key Food’s Family of Supermarkets through the Uber Eats app. This includes Key Food, Food Universe, SuperFresh, The Food Emporium, Food Dynasty, and other banners.
Uber says shoppers will be able to buy fresh groceries and everyday essentials, including produce, meat, seafood, pantry staples, and household items.
The app will support on demand delivery and scheduled delivery, meaning customers can request delivery soon or choose a delivery time.
Key Food said the partnership is open to eligible Key Food Co-Op stores that want to join the Uber Eats marketplace. It added that member stores can opt in as the rollout continues.
For Uber Eats, the partnership adds hundreds of independently owned supermarket locations that can list inventory in its app.
For Key Food, the deal is positioned as a way to expand its digital footprint and make it more convenient for shoppers to access neighborhood stores.
The company also said it includes over 480 family owned and operated supermarkets and has $5.7 billion in annual sales.
