Mozzart Bet Signs KSh 90M Deal to Sponsor FKF Cup

Mozzart Bet Kenya has signed a three-year KSh 90 million sponsorship with FKF, launching the 2026 Mozzart Bet Cup and new cash awards.

In Short

  • Mozzart Bet Kenya and the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) signed a new three-year sponsorship worth KSh 90 million.
  • The deal funds the Mozzart Bet Cup from 2026 to 2028 at KSh 30 million per year.
  • FKF also announced new individual cash awards and confirmed key match dates for the 2026 tournament.

What Happened

Mozzart Bet Kenya has renewed its sponsorship of Kenya’s main domestic knockout football competition, the Mozzart Bet Cup, under a new KSh 90 million agreement with FKF.

The deal runs for three years, covering the 2026, 2027, and 2028 editions. Mozzart Bet will invest KSh 30 million each year. It remains the tournament’s title sponsor, which means its brand name stays attached to the competition.

At the signing, FKF President Hussein Mohammed said the partnership is meant to improve tournament organisation, visibility, and direct financial support to clubs. Mozzart Bet Kenya Limited Director Rolex Sirma said the increased sponsorship reflects the company’s confidence in the competition and the federation’s leadership.

FKF said the 2026 Mozzart Bet Cup will feature 64 teams, 15 clubs from the top league and 47 teams from lower tiers. This format matters because knockout tournaments can give smaller teams national exposure if they progress.

The launch event included the Round of 64 draw. FKF said the first matches will be played on 7 and 8 February 2026, and the final is scheduled for 17 June 2026.

Why It Matters

Sports betting companies are major commercial backers of football across Africa. For clubs, multi-year sponsorship deals can mean more predictable cash flow for travel, training, and operations.

The new individual cash awards also add incentives for standout player performance, not just team results. Over time, that can increase competitiveness and viewership, which can attract more sponsors and broadcast interest.

For FKF, the announcement is also a credibility signal. Locking in a three-year title sponsor reduces the risk of last-minute funding gaps that often affect scheduling, match logistics, and prize payments.
