EverTry introduced Subscription Reminders for its dollar virtual card, sending email and push alerts 10 days or 7 days before renewals.
EverTry has introduced Subscription Reminders on its dollar virtual card. The feature is meant to help users avoid unexpected renewals and failed subscription payments.
With Subscription Reminders, users can set a reminder on any subscription charge found in their card transactions. EverTry says this can apply to charges for services like Netflix, Claude AI, Spotify, or ChatGPT.
After a reminder is set, EverTry sends notifications before the next renewal by push notification and email. Notifications are sent 10 days ahead for monthly and yearly plans, and 7 days ahead for weekly plans.
To set a reminder, a user opens their card, finds a subscription charge in transactions, and taps “Set reminder”. EverTry pre-fills the name, amount, and an estimated renewal date. The renewal date is estimated from the last charge, and the user can edit it.
Users then confirm the billing cycle, weekly, monthly, or yearly, and save the reminder. EverTry also says the feature can be found on a “Never miss a renewal” card on the home screen.
The company says Subscription Reminders are free on all active EverTry cards.
EverTry says subscriptions can renew quietly, and users may only notice when a charge lands or when a payment fails because the balance was not ready.
EverTry also says repeated failed payments can affect a card’s standing. The reminders are positioned as a way to top up in time, keep the subscription, or cancel it with the provider before the charge happens.
EverTry notes that it does not cancel subscriptions for users. Users must cancel directly with the subscription provider. It also says the reminder shows the amount from the last charge, and the actual charge may differ if the provider changes its price.
