DigiTax and Supy will help UAE restaurants and hospitality groups meet new e-invoicing deadlines, with workshops and API-based invoice submission.
DigiTax and Supy have partnered to help restaurants, hospitality groups, and suppliers in the UAE prepare for mandatory e-invoicing.
DigiTax said it is teaming up with Supy, a restaurant inventory and procurement platform, to support UAE food and beverage operators ahead of federal e-invoicing deadlines.
E-invoicing means invoices must be created and exchanged in a standard digital format, then reported to the tax system, like sending structured receipts directly into a government portal.
The companies plan joint workshops to help businesses connect their operational tools, such as purchasing and stock systems, with compliant invoicing and tax reporting.
DigiTax is accredited by the UAE Ministry of Finance as an Accredited Service Provider, which is a licensed intermediary that can connect a business to the government e-invoicing network.
The partnership targets Supy’s customer base of more than 3,500 hospitality and food and beverage businesses. It also covers suppliers that exchange invoices with restaurants.
In day-to-day use, invoices shared between restaurants and suppliers inside Supy will be structured by DigiTax and submitted via API, which is a software connection that lets systems send data to each other automatically, to the UAE’s e-invoicing portal.
Deadlines are approaching. Businesses with more than AED 50 million in revenue must appoint an e-invoicing provider by 30 October 2026 and go live from 1 January 2027. Businesses below AED 50 million must appoint a provider by 31 March 2027 and go live by 1 July 2027.
For restaurant groups, finance and operations often run in separate tools. If e-invoicing compliance sits only in accounting, teams may still face invoice rework, supplier disputes, and delayed reconciliations.
By embedding compliant invoice generation and submission closer to procurement workflows, DigiTax and Supy are betting they can reduce manual work and lower the risk of missing regulatory requirements.
The timing also matters because the UAE foodservice market is still growing fast. Forecasts cited by the companies project the sector to pass $27 billion in 2026 and exceed $61 billion by 2031. More volume usually means more invoices, and more compliance pressure.
The first joint workshop is scheduled for 29 October 2026, with more sessions planned after that.
