MeterX is a browser-based utility metering and billing platform for South African shopping centres and residential estates, built to ingest high-frequency meter data and produce auditable, tariff-correct tenant bills.

Key capabilities include:

• 1-minute interval metering and ingestion for landlord incomers and per-tenant sub-meters, with data sent regularly and gap detection plus approved estimation.
• Multi-source attribution across grid, solar PV, BESS (battery storage), and diesel genset, including grid-presence (Eskom-down) detection and ATS-aware generator gating so consumption can be billed by actual supply source.
• Audit and reconciliation that balances incomer vs tenant and common-area meters (at 30-minute reconciliation resolution), surfaces exceptions for gaps, anomalies, and losses before billing, and supports approval workflows with locked periods and KPI versioning.
• Tariff engine with 1000+ NERSA, Eskom, and municipal tariffs (bespoke supported), covering time-of-use, inclining block tariffs, demand charges, reactive energy (excess kVArh above 0.96 power factor), and feed-in tariffs, with line-item PDF billing advice and a role-scoped tenant portal.
