IHub is an investor active in the African startup ecosystem, particularly in East Africa. It has participated in funding rounds for early-stage EdTech companies, demonstrating a focus on innovative educational technologies. From June 2023 to May 2024, IHub invested a total of $200K across three rounds. These include a $100K investment in Somachat, a Kenya-based EdTech platform offering personalized study help through WhatsApp and Telegram, in May 2024; a $100K investment in Kuze AI, another Kenyan EdTech venture providing personalized paper-based learning with AI marking, also in May 2024; and a Seed round investment in Silabu, a Tanzania-based platform to find verified tutors and study resources across East Africa, in June 2023. IHub targets Other stages (two investments) and Seed stage (one investment), with a geographic preference for Kenya (two investments) and Tanzania (one investment), exclusively in the EdTech sector.
