Syft introduced Supplier Tables and a Payables Table to help accountants track what is owed, purchase costs, and payables aging in one view.
Syft has launched Supplier Tables and a Payables Table.
The update aims to help accountants and finance advisors see supplier activity in one place. It pulls together what a business owes, what it bought, and how balances change over time.
Syft is rolling out new views for accounts payable, the money a business owes suppliers for bills and purchases.
In practice, many finance teams review payables across multiple reports, open bills in one screen, purchases in another, and payments somewhere else. That makes it slow to answer basic questions like why a supplier balance is high, whether costs are rising, or whether cash flow pressure is building.
With Syft, Supplier Tables provide a supplier level table that combines key metrics. These include the supplier name, amounts owed across the last 12 months with a prior period comparison, and current outstanding amounts for the period, including open bills.
It also includes purchasing detail such as the number of purchases, total cost, and average cost per purchase. Credit notes are included in supplier balances, so reductions and returns are reflected rather than missed.
Syft also introduced a Payables Table with payables ageing. Payables ageing is a breakdown of unpaid bills by how long they have been outstanding, similar to sorting overdue items into 0 to 30 days, 31 to 60 days, and older buckets. The company says the ageing view will be expanded over the next few months, including a three month period view.
For SMEs that buy inventory or raw materials regularly, payables are more than admin. They are an early signal on supplier credit use, purchasing changes, rising input costs, and payment delays.
For advisors, having supplier balances, transaction activity, and ageing in a single workflow can speed up month end reviews and make client reporting clearer. It can also reduce the back and forth needed to prove where a movement in payables came from.
