NSIA Banque Côte d’Ivoire says first half 2026 net banking income rose 6% to 53.7 billion FCFA, while gross operating income rose 5%.
NSIA Banque Côte d’Ivoire reported higher revenue and operating profit in the first half of 2026, alongside a lower net result after increasing its credit risk coverage.
NSIA Banque Côte d’Ivoire said its net banking income, called Produit Net Bancaire or PNB, reached 53.7 billion FCFA, up 6% year over year. The bank said this was driven by a 9% rise in net interest margin to 37.4 billion FCFA.
It also reported gross operating income, called Résultat Brut d’Exploitation, of 22.8 billion FCFA, up 5% compared to the prior year period. Operating expenses rose to 30.8 billion FCFA, up 7%, and the cost to income ratio, called coefficient d’exploitation, moved to 57.4% from 56.9%.
The bank reported net income of 14.5 billion FCFA. It said the 11% drop versus the prior year period reflected a decision to be more prudent rather than a decline in activity.
NSIA Banque Côte d’Ivoire said it carried out a deeper review of its loan book and increased coverage for parts of its credit portfolio. Net cost of risk rose to 6.5 billion FCFA from 4.2 billion FCFA. The bank added that gross operating income covered more than three times the period’s cost of risk.
On its balance sheet, NSIA Banque Côte d’Ivoire reported customer deposits of 2,225 billion FCFA, up 15% year over year. Equity excluding the period result rose 11% to 214.3 billion FCFA. Total assets were 3,072 billion FCFA, up 13% year over year.
For operators and investors tracking banking performance in Côte d’Ivoire, the results show NSIA Banque Côte d’Ivoire growing core revenue while increasing provisioning, meaning it set aside more to cover potential loan losses. The bank is positioning the balance sheet with rising deposits and higher equity, while accepting a lower net result tied to a higher cost of risk.
