Millennium bim and CCFM renewed their Mozambique culture partnership, backing arts education, exhibitions, and free children’s programmes.
Millennium bim and the Franco-Mozambican Cultural Centre, CCFM, have renewed a partnership focused on arts education and Mozambican cultural production.
Mozambique bank Millennium bim said it has signed a new partnership protocol with the Centro Cultural Franco-Moçambicano, also known as CCFM.
The announcement was made on October 5, 2026. The new protocol sets the terms of collaboration and extends joint cultural programming that has run over the past two years.
In the statement, the partners said the work is aimed at promoting culture in Mozambique, supporting arts education, and increasing recognition for Mozambican artists. They also framed culture as a tool for inclusion, learning, memory, and national identity.
The release listed exhibitions supported under the partnership, including “A Pente Fino” by Filipe Branquinho and “Entre Cores e Formas: Pluralidade de Vozes”, which included works from Millennium bim’s collection. Other named shows include “Madjoni-Djoni” by Nuno Silas and “Diálogo entre dedos do barro e da tinta” by Reinata Sadimba and Sebastião Coana.
The partnership also backed “Sábados das Crianças”, a free children’s programme. It offers activities tied to reading, cinema, visual arts, and other creative formats, with the goal of building access to culture early.
For banks, long-term support for cultural institutions is often part of CSR, which is corporate social responsibility, meaning structured spending on community projects beyond core banking.
For cultural venues, predictable sponsorship can help stabilise programming budgets and keep ticket prices, or children’s sessions, affordable.
For Mozambique’s creative economy, this type of partnership can increase exposure for emerging artists and create more consistent opportunities for exhibitions, workshops, and audience development.
