JAMB has launched a new online process that allows 2026 UTME candidates to verify and upload their O’Level results digitally. O’Level results are secondary school exam results, such as WAEC or NECO, that are required for admission.
JAMB said the system starts with WAEC and will work through its e-Facility platform, which is JAMB’s online portal for candidate services. The key change is direct verification, meaning JAMB checks the result against the exam body’s records before it is added to a candidate profile.
Before now, many candidates had to go to JAMB-accredited CBT centres for manual uploads. That often meant staff typing subjects and grades into the system, which could lead to errors, delays, or mismatched records.
JAMB said the new approach is meant to reduce issues like missing paper results, fraudulent certificates, and incorrect subject entries. It is also meant to cut down queues at CBT centres during peak periods, when network congestion can slow processes.
This move shifts part of Nigeria’s admissions workflow closer to end-to-end digital verification. For candidates, it can save time and reduce transport costs.
For JAMB and exam bodies, direct verification can improve data quality and reduce disputes caused by manual entry. It also increases the importance of reliable identity and exam-number matching, since candidates must provide details like NIN and exam information.
Candidates start on the designated verification platform, enter their NIN, pick the exam body and number of sittings, then pay for verification. After verification, they receive a code.
They send “VERIFY” plus the code to 55019 or 66019 to trigger the upload. Candidates with two sittings complete the final selection in JAMB e-Facility by choosing “2026 UTME O’Level Upload” and selecting 5 to 9 subjects from the verified record.
