itel Energy says it will repair or replace faulty solar power equipment within 48 hours for customers across Nigeria.
itel Energy, a clean energy and power solutions brand, announced a 48-hour resolution commitment for faulty solar power equipment in Nigeria.
The company restated the commitment during the Nigeria Energy exhibition week in Lagos. itel Energy showcased new products and demonstrated to distributors, installers, and customers how its after-sales service works.
itel Energy said its after-sales support includes remote services, home visits, and product replacement where necessary.
The company said after-sales service matters for households and businesses switching from petrol and diesel generators to solar power. It said a faulty inverter or battery can disrupt electricity supply and business operations.
Rotimi Thomas, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of SunFi, described the 48-hour commitment as important for a distribution platform. “The 48-hour resolution commitment from itel Energy is very important for us as a distribution platform because we don’t make the product and when a consumer buys a product through SunFi, they’re actually really buying a trusted service,” Thomas said.
Thomas added that some customers pay between 10 and 30 per cent upfront and spread the balance over three, six, 12 or 24 months, or longer. He said about 30 to 40 per cent of prospective customers still request payment plans.
itel Energy’s Country Service Manager, Emmanuel Kumuyi, said common complaints include overloading, protection issues, and incorrect installation. He said some issues happen when solar panels, inverters, and batteries are not properly matched to a user’s power needs. He advised customers to use certified engineers and ensure systems are correctly configured.
Solar is often positioned as an alternative to generators, but support after purchase can decide whether the switch works day to day.
itel Energy’s 48-hour repair or replacement promise, plus remote support and home visits, targets downtime risk for homes and businesses when key components fail.
