InterSpace Group partnered with Masterchannel to add professional mastering inside InterSpace Distribution and ToneGrid dashboards for music releases.
InterSpace Distribution now includes a built-in mastering tool through a partnership between InterSpace Group and Masterchannel. The integration is also live on ToneGrid, the Group’s white-label distribution platform for labels, distributors and music companies.
InterSpace Group partnered with Masterchannel, an Oslo-based music mastering company, to bring professional mastering directly into the dashboard InterSpace artists already use to release music.
Mastering is the final step between a finished mix and a release. It balances a track’s tonality, dynamics and loudness so the music sounds right across streaming services and different speakers, from headphones and car stereos to radio and club systems.
Inside the dashboard, artists can open “Mastering” from the menu, upload a mix, and receive a mastered version back within minutes. Each master includes a free full-length preview. Artists can compare the preview against the original mix using loudness-matched playback, meaning both versions play at the same volume so differences are easier to hear.
Artists pay only if they choose to download the final master. The release says there is no subscription and nothing is charged automatically.
Because the integration is built into ToneGrid at the platform level, every label and distributor using ToneGrid can offer the same mastering tool to its own artists inside its own branded dashboard.
For independent artists, mastering can mean paying for studio time or releasing music without it. By adding a mastering option inside InterSpace Distribution and ToneGrid, InterSpace Group is putting that step next to the release workflow artists already use, with a free preview and optional payment only when downloading the final file.
