Fyatu has added a Card Issuing API from $0.5 per card and launched global eSIM coverage in 180+ countries, targeting fintechs and businesses.
Fyatu says it has expanded its platform with a new Card Issuing API, alongside the launch of Global eSIM services. The Card Issuing API is a REST API, which is a standard way for software products to talk to each other over the internet.
For businesses, the pitch is faster card program setup without needing to queue with a bank or commit to high volumes upfront. Card issuing means creating payment cards, usually virtual cards that can be used online, and in some cases physical cards.
On its site, Fyatu markets virtual Visa and Mastercard card issuing in 180+ countries, with features like 3D Secure, which is an extra online checkout verification step, and support for Apple Pay and Google Pay. The dashboard preview also highlights use cases like paying for digital ads, subscriptions, and cross-border online spending.
Fyatuβs pricing page shows card issuance fees for some card types and ongoing fees like funding fees, cross-border charges, and monthly maintenance. Separately, the company says its new Card Issuing API can bring costs down to $0.5 per card for eligible programs, positioning it as a cheaper option for fintechs, platforms, and card program operators.
Card issuing infrastructure is a key building block for fintechs that want to offer customer cards without becoming a bank. Lower per-card costs and fewer volume requirements can make it easier for smaller startups and SMEs to test card products for specific needs like ad spend cards, travel cards, or subscription cards.
The global eSIM launch also adds a second product line that can fit the same audience. An eSIM is a digital SIM profile that lets users activate mobile data without a physical SIM card. For platforms serving freelancers, remote teams, and cross-border customers, bundling payments and connectivity could improve retention and open new revenue streams.
