What Happened

Endeavor Nigeria has selected Complete Farmer founder and CEO Desmond Koney into its entrepreneur network. Complete Farmer is a Ghana-based agri-tech company that connects international commodity buyers with smallholder farmers across Ghana and Togo.

Koney’s selection came after Endeavor’s multi-stage screening process. The final step was Endeavor’s International Selection Panel, which took place in Athens, Greece.

According to Endeavor Nigeria, Koney was chosen alongside 27 other entrepreneurs leading 16 companies from markets across Europe, Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and the Americas. Endeavor runs these panels to vet founders on business performance, leadership, and growth potential.

Complete Farmer says it works with more than 72,000 farmers. It also operates with over 350 field agents and eight fulfillment centres that handle aggregation, grading, quality control, and export logistics. The company supplies international buyers, including Aldi and Lidl.

Beyond trading, the company has built a marketplace for farm inputs and equipment. It has also developed a credit product that uses farm data, meaning on-farm activity and supply records, to help farmers access financing.
