Clannit will introduce annual estate subscriptions from Jan 1, 2027, alongside upgrades to collections, security, and admin tools for estates.
Clannit says it will introduce an annual subscription model for estates from January 1, 2027. It is also rolling out upgrades to collections, security, and administration features.
Clannit is telling estate leadership teams that it plans to start charging estates an annual subscription fee from January 2027. Clannit did not share pricing, or how it will calculate charges.
The company says the fee will help fund ongoing platform improvements and customer support. It is asking estate executives to meet with its team ahead of the change.
On payments, Clannit says it has optimised its collections tools and launched a “Clannit Wallet”. A wallet here means an in app balance and payment flow that helps track bills and receipts, similar to a dedicated account for estate dues.
Clannit also set a target of helping estates reach 95% collection rates in 2027. It did not provide current baseline collection performance.
The update includes new security and access control features, including improved exit management, gate identification, and security reporting. It also includes an upgraded admin portal, with improved dashboards and reporting.
Estate management software in Nigeria is moving toward recurring revenue, especially for features tied to dues, service charges, and access control. A subscription model can make product support more predictable, but it also raises questions about value, pricing fairness, and whether smaller estates will pay the same as larger ones.
The missing details will matter for adoption. Estates will likely want clarity on whether pricing depends on estate size, number of households, and which modules are enabled.
Clannit’s move also aligns it with subscription-first peers like Venco, which has operated a paid model in the same market. For estate leadership teams, the next step is comparing costs against improved collections, reduced leakage, and better security reporting.
