CCTV Architecture, Design, Installation & Management Skills Training

CCTV Architecture, Design, Installation and Management Skills Training is a five-day, in-person course run by Kenvision Techniks Talent Centre at its workshop in Kahawa Sukari, Nairobi, from October 5 to 9, 2026. The programme is about 80% practical and covers modern IP surveillance systems from design through to installation, configuration and maintenance. Participants complete a practical CCTV design assignment, and a certificate is included.

Who It Is For

The training is for electricians, technicians and installers who want to move beyond basic camera mounting into professional surveillance system design. Participants need basic electrical or electronics skills or relevant experience, with proof of qualification or experience required to enrol.

What Attendees Will Gain

Attendees will learn CCTV system architecture, IP cameras, NVR configuration, network fundamentals, PoE and Cat5e, Cat6 and fibre cabling. They will also practise camera positioning, storage and resolution calculations, PTZ control and troubleshooting, and design systems using AutoCAD and lens calculators. By the end, they will be equipped to plan and deploy complete professional surveillance systems.
