Zr3i is extending its carbon MRV platform for date palm farms into Pakistan, adding to projects in Egypt, Jordan, and the UAE.
Zr3i has expanded into Pakistan, adding a new market to its date palm carbon credit network across Egypt, Jordan, and the UAE.
Zr3i runs a carbon MRV platform for date palm farms. MRV means measurement, reporting, and verification, it is the paperwork and evidence needed to prove climate impact.
The platform uses satellite analytics and multiple vegetation indices like NDVI and EVI. These are plant health signals from satellite images, similar to taking regular checkups of a farm from space.
Zr3i says it aligns with Verra VCS rules. Verra VCS is a widely used standard for issuing carbon credits in the voluntary carbon market, which is where companies buy offsets even when they are not required by law.
The company started with date palm projects in Egypt, Jordan, and the UAE. It now includes Pakistan in its operations, widening its project footprint beyond MENA.
Zr3i also offers farm management tools and workflows for farmer enrollment and approvals. It markets potential earnings of $18 to $40 per ton of CO₂, and a free tier that covers up to 10 feddan.
For farmers, adding Pakistan could mean a bigger pool of date palm farms that can access verified carbon income. That is important in agriculture, where revenue is often seasonal and price swings are common.
For carbon buyers, geographic expansion can increase supply and diversify project risk. If one region has weather or verification delays, credits from another region can help keep a pipeline active.
For the wider agri tech and climate tech ecosystem, Zr3i’s approach shows how remote sensing and standards compliance can turn farm activity into tradable environmental assets. The hard part is not the satellite images, it is proving the claims in a way auditors and buyers accept.
Pakistan’s addition also signals that tools built for MENA crops and farm structures may travel. If Zr3i can localise workflows, data, and verification partners, it could become a regional template for agricultural carbon MRV in arid and semi-arid farming belts.
