YouCan’s April 2026 update adds the Bella theme, product Bundles, faster theme editing, and mobile upsell tools plus WhatsApp support for merchants.
YouCan has rolled out an April 2026 product update focused on helping merchants customise storefronts faster and increase sales from mobile.
YouCan announced several new features for its e-commerce platform, including a new Bella storefront theme, a Bundles feature, and upgrades to its theme editing tools.
Bundles lets sellers group complementary products into one offer while still keeping each item available separately. It is designed to lift average order value, which is the average amount a customer spends per checkout. For now, Bundles works on YouCan’s Page Builder and Classic theme, and the company says broader theme support is coming.
YouCan also introduced Bella, a new theme built for deeper storefront customisation. Bella adds more layout sections and sales-focused options such as quick buy, quick view, recommended products, sticky cart, and improved express checkout. These tools aim to reduce friction during checkout, meaning fewer steps that can cause customers to abandon a purchase.
On the development side, YouCan upgraded its theme code editor for better stability and faster performance. It also added a fully translatable interface in French and Arabic. This improved code editor is currently limited to partners using developer stores, and YouCan says it will roll out to everyone later.
The theme editor also now supports real-time previews and auto-save on the new editor, so merchants can see changes instantly without manually clicking save.
On mobile, YouCan’s latest app update adds product reviews, WhatsApp support, and improved product variant filtering. Merchants can also create, edit, and delete upsell campaigns directly in the mobile app. Upsells are extra offers shown during or after checkout, similar to “add this item for less” prompts.
For African merchants and D2C brands, conversion rate and speed of execution often matter as much as marketing spend. Features like Bundles and mobile upsell management can increase revenue per customer without adding new traffic.
The focus on faster theme editing and multilingual developer tools also suggests YouCan is pushing to attract more agencies and partners. If the code editor and new theme editor reach all merchants quickly, the platform becomes easier to maintain and customise at scale.
