TechCabal and Tutto Passa Agency are launching a 14-episode podcast on startup risk and capital in Africa, starting with Nairobi. Launches later in 2026.
TechCabal and Tutto Passa Agency are launching a podcast series called “Voices & Visions: Profiling Africa’s Business Pulse”. The goal is to unpack how founders, investors, and policymakers think about risk and opportunity when they build and back startups on the continent.
The show is hosted by Ivana Heijnen, the founder of Tutto Passa Agency. It is planned as a 14-episode season that starts with Nairobi, one of Africa’s busiest hubs for startups and venture funding.
The podcast is expected to launch later in 2026. New episodes will be released biweekly, which means one episode every two weeks, through September.
This partnership is built around what the teams call Africa’s “narrative gap”. That is the mismatch between what markets are really like on the ground and how global audiences often describe them.
For startups, that gap can affect fundraising. If investors see African markets as too risky, or as one single market instead of many different ones, they may avoid long-term bets or ask for harsher terms.
Heijnen’s view is that storytelling is not only marketing. It can act like infrastructure, meaning a repeatable system that helps outsiders understand how an ecosystem works, including regulation, exits, and business models.
