Standard Chartered says it bought ordinary shares from Goldman Sachs International under its buyback programme, covering trades from 19 to 23 October 2026.
Standard Chartered PLC says it repurchased its own ordinary shares as part of a previously announced share buyback programme.
Standard Chartered PLC said it purchased ordinary shares of US$0.50 each from Goldman Sachs International under a share buyback programme previously detailed in an announcement dated 29 July 2026.
Standard Chartered also said that, as at close of business London time on 23 October 2026, it had applied an aggregate of US$669,911,807.31 to share purchases under the buyback programme.
The company said share purchases under the buyback would be carried out under “pre-set parameters and limits” and in line with applicable law and regulation, as described in more detail in its 29 July 2026 announcement.
A share buyback is when a company buys back its own shares, typically reducing the number of shares available in the market. Standard Chartered’s disclosure gives investors visibility into how much it has spent under the programme so far, where the shares were bought, and the price range paid across different trading venues.
