Nigeria Revenue Service says Rev360 is live and will roll out in phases, starting with medium and emerging taxpayers, before wider tax administration use.
Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) has announced the official go-live of Rev360. The new tax administration platform will be rolled out in phases, starting with medium and emerging taxpayers.
Rev360 is now live, according to NRS. A tax administration platform is the software that helps a revenue agency register taxpayers, process filings, and manage payments and audits.
NRS said implementation will happen in stages. The first phase targets medium and emerging taxpayers, before the system is extended to other segments.
A phased rollout usually means the agency is trying to reduce downtime and bugs by onboarding groups one at a time. It can also make it easier to train staff and taxpayers, then fix issues before scaling.
For businesses, tax systems often affect everyday operations like filing returns, generating payment references, and resolving compliance issues. When the platform changes, companies may need to update internal processes, retrain finance teams, and align accounting and payroll records to new workflows.
For fintechs and compliance vendors, a new government platform can change how integrations work. Integrations are software connections, like an API, that let one system send data to another automatically. If Rev360 introduces new processes for taxpayer identification, filing, or payment confirmation, private-sector tools may need updates to stay compatible.
Nigeria has seen growing activity in tax and compliance software, including products like TaxStreem. A modernised government platform can also increase pressure for more accurate reporting and faster reconciliation across banks, payment processors, and enterprise systems.
